NEW ULM – Angela Bushard, 80, of New Ulm died Monday, January 31, 2022 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Christian Burial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Ulm with Father Shawn Polman celebrating Mass. Interment will follow at New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the NORTH Chapel at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

The Society of Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 4 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral.

Angie is survived by her daughters, Marie (Randy) Sperling of New Ulm, Patty Bushard of Ortonville and Mary (Cedric) Edwards of Schertz, Texas; sons, Allen (Robyn) Bushard of Las Vegas, Nevada and Michael (Nancy) Bushard of Chaska; one sister, Virginia (Jerome) Peichel of Chaska; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Marlon; and a premature baby girl.

Angela Gladys Schroepfer was born April 3, 1941, in Sleepy Eye to Albert and Loretta (Kral) Schroepfer; She attended School District #33 in Albin Township and St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. Angie married Marlon Bushard on June 14, 1961 at St. Mary’s Sleepy Eye Catholic Church and together they raised five children in New Ulm. She worked at the Holiday Inn and then at the Oak Hills Living Center until her retirement in 2000.

Angie was a member of Cathedral Parish, Catholic United and the Christian Mother’s Society.
