Cynthia Marie Medina – La Junta Tribune Démocrate

Cynthia Marie Medina, 50, died on February 28, 2022 at her home in La Junta. She was born on August 7, 1971 to Jose Horacio and Cynthia May (Bowen) Medina in La Junta. Cynthia “Huey” was a very kind caring person with a big heart and the most beautiful smile. She showed compassion for everyone and loved her family unconditionally. She was a music lover and loved to sing and dance whenever she got the chance. She was her mother’s protector, best friend and even though they will be separated, we know she will watch over her and always be in her heart. She is survived by her mother, Cynthia M. Medina of La Junta; siblings, Viola Cecilia Medina of La Junta; Jose Horacio (Maria Isabella) Medina, Jr. of Rocky Ford; Mary Helen (Edward Lloyd Klusner) Medina of La Junta; Christopher Benny (Dayna Rhae) Roybal-Medina de La Junta; Donnie Charles (Jamie Renae) Rodriguez-Medina de La Junta; goddaughter, Mercedes Taelynne Bernal; nine nephews and 10 nieces also survive. She was predeceased by her father, Jose Horacio Medina, Sr. and her nephew, Michael Anthony Cable. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Christian funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Victor Raj officiating.
