Mary Gleeson (born Woods)

The passing of Mary Gleeson (née Woods), Shandon Park, Kilkenny and formerly of Assumption Place, on May 24, 2022, passed away peacefully under the wonderful care of the staff at Archersrath Nursing Home. Mary, beloved wife of Pat and beloved mother of Paul, Aidan, Eric and Pat, is dearly missed by her husband and sons, her sisters Nuala, Rosanne and Teresa, her brothers Bobby, Frankie, Eugene, Anthony and Tommy, his 11 grandchildren, his brothers-sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbors and friends. Mary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ciaran Aylmer and everyone who has been there for Mary through her difficult times.

Resting at Johnston Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26 from 5 p.m., ending with the Rosary and Vigil prayers at 6:30 p.m. Requiem mass on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Saint-Jean church. John Phelan

The passing of John Phelan, (ex Glanbia) Ballinalina, Kells Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Pottlerath, Kilmanagh, Co. Kilkenny, on Tuesday 24th May 2022, peacefully, following a short illness, endured with great courage, surrounded by of his loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Margaret. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Vera, his loving children, his sons Niall and Derek, his daughters Lisa, Joanne and Cathy, his grandchildren Coran, Ella May and Ava, his sisters Marie, Philomena, Theresa and Brigid , his sons-in-law David and Albert, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, parents, neighbors and a large circle of friends.

Rest at his home (Eircode R95 NX2F) from 4 p.m. on Friday May 27, ending with the prayer of the Rosary and the Vigil at 8 p.m. The funeral arrives at St. Patrick’s Church, College Road, Kilkenny for Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballykeeffe. Barbara Teehan (born Prendergast)

The death occurred of Barbara Teehan (née Prendergast), Rather Ullord and deceased of Warrington, Kilkenny City, on May 24, 2022 (peacefully) at her home. Beloved wife of the late Tony, beloved mother of Richard, Liam and Kathryn and adoring grandmother of Mary and Clodagh. She will be loved and will always be remembered by her sons, daughter, brothers Patrick and Denis, sister Mary, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Michelle and Farm, son-in-law Dale, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law , nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Resting at Hehir Funeral Home (R95 FH90) from 5 p.m. Thursday, May 26 with funeral prayers at 6:30 p.m. followed by a transfer to Saint John’s Church.
