New Brighton – Edith (Dolly) T. Maljevec Jaskiewicz, 86, of New Brighton passed away peacefully on Monday February 28, 2022 at Franciscan Manor, Beaver Falls.
Dolly was born on March 27, 1935 in Bridgewater. She has been employed in various ways by Beaver Super Market, Foodland and McGuire Memorial, Main Campus, New Brighton. She was a faithful member of the Notre-Dame de la Vallée (Holy Family) parish.
Dolly enjoyed polka, crochet, and collecting limited edition dolls and angel-themed items. She enjoyed her many trips with her family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Walter, on December 1, 2021. She was also predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Margaret Pauvlinch Maljevec; and brothers Matthew (Kathryn), Vincent (Helen), Rudolph Maljevec and a brother-in-law, Joseph Jaskiewicz.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. David W. (Cynthia Frederick) Jaskiewicz and Timothy (Linda) Jaskiewicz; granddaughters, Calista Frederick-Jaskiewicz and Macy Jaskiewicz; a sister-in-law, Mary Jaskiewicz; special friends, the Briscoe family; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, March 4, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Gabauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1133 Penn Ave., New Brighton. The recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. A Christian funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 521 7th Ave, New Brighton.
Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
