Hoelscher, 85, of Rowena,

Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She was born April 4, 1937 to Matt and Mary (Kubenka) Kalina in Praha, Texas. On July 14, 1956, she married the love of her life, Victor Alphonse Hoelscher in Rowena. Together they shared 55 years before her death in 2011. Germaine was very involved in her parish at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen, Texas. A member of the School of Christian Mothers and Friends of Olfen, she was known as a very active quilter and was part of a quilting group that met regularly, but also embroidered and crocheted when she could. She also worked as a business manager for the local car dealership that eventually became Toliver Brothers for over 40 years before her retirement. Germaine was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who always put her family first.

Germaine is predeceased by her parents Matt and Mary Kalina, her husband Victor Hoelscher, her brother Bennie Kalina, her brother Sydney Kalina, her brother Harry Kalina and her sister Alice Gleich. She is survived by her three sons, Rick Hoelscher and Judy McKinney of Ballinger, Galen Hoelscher and Leslie of Talpa, Scott Hoelscher of Lubbock, Texas, and one daughter, Denise Zak and her husband, David of San Angelo; grandchildren, Amanda Hoelscher and Mark Foster, Aaron Hoelscher and Amber, Stephen Hoelscher and his wife Michaela, Bryce Zak and his wife Lexi, Shelby Anderson and her husband Lorenzo, and Emily Hoelscher; and great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Raelye, Heston, Emree, Kynlee and Addison. Germaine also leaves to mourn her siblings, Valeria Hoelscher and her husband LeRoy, Marcel Kalina and his wife Annie Lois, her brother-in-law Stanley Gleich, her sister-in-law Clara Kalina and her sister-in-law Betsy Kalina, as well as many nieces and nephews. A rosary was held for Germaine on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 6 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, her Christian burial mass followed on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the father Ariel Lagunilla celebrating.
