Women’s Networking Event for International Women’s Day 2022

Local Business Week 2022

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on March 8, 2022.

The Wicklow Local Enterprise Office will host an in-person networking event on March 9, 2022.

This superb event will be held at the Glenview Hotel starting at 7 p.m.

Our very own Alison Banton from Brooke and Shoals will talk about her commercial success to date.

The event is free, without registration.

It is open to female entrepreneurs with a business based in Wicklow.

  • Arrival from 7 p.m. for tea and coffee.

  • Followed by a Q&A session and informal networking.

Codling Wind Farm Information Clinic

Codling Wind Farm Information Clinics are held the second Wednesday of each month.

The purpose of the clinics is to provide the public with the opportunity to meet in person.

Project representatives can discuss any issues and give updates on progress.

In addition, “Pop Up” clinics will be held on the first Wednesday of each month.

These are open to communities, volunteers, athletes, businesses and other local groups.

The location will be agreed on an individual request basis.

The March clinic will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Room 3, Unit 3, Burnaby Buildings, above Joker’s, Church Road.

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Wickow Arts Office Funding Programs 2022 Now Open

Applications for the Artist Awards Program and the Artist and Community Collaboration Awards Program.

The arts festival awards program will follow.

The primary goal of these programs is to empower artists and communities to move forward.

An online advice clinic to facilitate applications will take place on February 23.

Seats can be reserved for free on Eventbrite.

All art forms, all disciplines and all genres are eligible.

The maximum reward offered is €5,000, although rewards are offered for lower amounts.

Greystones Active Retirement Association (GARA)

Wonderful group for the over 50s in the Greystones and surrounding areas.

Lots of things are happening, there’s something for everyone at the GARA!!

Regular GARA activities are now in session.

Ongoing activities include:

  • Art Mondays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Bowling courts on carpets on Tuesdays from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Bingo on Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Card making workshops start now!!

Card-making workshops will take place on Friday mornings, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
