Kelly Gene Elliott, 71, of Boonville died unexpectedly on Monday evening March 28, 2022, at her home in Boonville.
The Christian funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the SS Pierre and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville. Visitation will be one hour before the service and the recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Pilot Grove.
Kelly Gene Elliott was born on April 6, 1950, the son of Benjamin Homer and Nancy “Hazel” (Stewart) Elliott. He graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1968. Kelly married the love of his life, Marilyn Gerling, on April 14, 1973, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. He was a member of the SS. Pierre and Paul de Boonville Catholic Church and Council 1061 of the Knights of Columbus. Kelly proudly worked for University Hospital for 40 years. He was always busy helping people, fixing lawnmowers, or taking rides. Kelly has never known a stranger. Kelly’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Kelly is predeceased by his parents, his brothers Norman, Benjamin “Benny” and Melvin Elliott, his sister Judy Wainscott-Elliott and his grandson Hunter Johnson. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of the house, his daughters Monica Elliott of Boonville, Jennifer Elliott of Columbia, Melissa Elliott of Boonville and Jessica (Greg) Johnson of Boonville, his grandchildren Elijah Gier, Andrea Jackson, Brianna Walker, Kaitlyn Koranteng-Elliott, Gavin Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Addison Johnson and Ava Johnson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
