The death took place on Monday April 11 of Patsy (Anastasia Patricia) Scott (née Campion) of Knockfin, Rathdowney and formerly Ballymullan House, Abbeyleix.
89 years old. Lovingly cared for by the staff at Brookhaven Lodge, Ballyragget and in the presence of his heartbroken family in his final hours. Deeply missed by his beloved and devoted son Francis, his daughter-in-law Mary, his grandchildren, Patricia Quinn (Kilcock), Tim (Knockfin), John-Paul (Ballymullan) and Helena (Abbeyleix), his brother Jim Campion (London), his sister Lilly Campion (Ballymullan and Brookhaven), adored great-grandchildren, Kate, Clodagh, Anna and Charlie, grandsons, Kieran, granddaughters Marianne and Emma, Helena’s fiance Barry, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of relatives, neighbors and friends.
Resting at her home, Knockfin on Tuesday evenings from 4 p.m. with Rosary at 8 p.m. Private house on Wednesday morning, please. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 1pm at St. Canice’s Church, Clough followed by interment at the local cemetery in Rathdowney.
Michael Nicholas Boran – Ballickmoyler
The death took place on Sunday April 10 of Michael Nicholas Boran of Ballinagall, Ballickmoyler.
Unexpectedly, at home. Beloved husband of Grace, beloved father of Marie and Lorraine and beloved father-in-law of Dave, adored grandfather of Emily-Rose and Cameron-Michael and cherished brother of Eileen, brother-in-law Alan and nieces Emma and Laura.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, daughters, grandchildren, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Gerard Scully – Ballyroan
The death took place on Sunday April 10 of Gerard (Ger) Scully of Tullore, Ballyroan.
Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Deeply missed by his brothers Tom and his sister PJ Mary, his sister-in-law Geraldine, his nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, great-nieces, neighbors and a large circle of friends.
Rest at his sister Mary’s residence from 2 p.m. Tuesday with transfer to St. Patricks Ballyroan Church for Requiem Mass from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to 12 p.m. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks Cemetery. Wearing a mask and social distancing would be appreciated.
Michael Mulhall – Mountmellick
The death took place on Sunday 10 April of Michael (Mick) Mulhall of Wolfe Tone Court, Mountmellick and formerly of St. Joseph’s Terrace, Mountmellick).
Deeply missed by his sister Martina (Tina) and her husband Tony, his nephew William and his wife Sandra, his grandniece Amy and her husband Michael.

The death occurred on Saturday April 9 of Tony Gannon of Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Portlaoise.
Peacefully, in his 87th year under the loving care of his devoted family and the staff of the Saint-Raphaël district of Mater Hospital. Beloved and cherished husband of Joan and wonderful loving father of Rosemary, Tony, Claire and the late Helen. He is dearly missed by his family, his brother Ignatius, his sister Gertie, his grandchildren Karl, Rachel, Alex, Jeff, David, Julie, Aoife and Ciara, his sons-in-law Ed and Ronan, his daughter-in-law Clare, his brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbors and friends to whom he brought much joy and laughter.
Resting at her daughter Claire’s home in Glasnevin on Monday evening April 11, 6-8pm, which will involve limited numbers for limited periods of time due to the continued presence of Covid-19 in the community.
