Obituary of Fredrick Trujillo – The Pueblo Chief

Frederick Trujillo

Fredrick Trujillo, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Army veteran and friend, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on the evening of Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 71 years old. Fred fought bravely to the end and is now free from the limitations of his illness. He is at peace and full of happiness, especially now that he is reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Veronica (Avalos) who predeceased him; with his parents; and his nephew, Daniel Trujillo. Fred was born in Salida, Colorado to Fredrick and Ramona Trujillo. He is survived by his beloved son, Fred J. (Astra) Trujillo; grandchildren, Jacob, Grace, Leonard and Diesel; brothers, Larry (Sandy), Randy (Janet), Frances and Patrick (Cheryl) Trujillo; sister, Elaine (Angelo) Alires; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was a simple family man who worked tirelessly for them, having retired from UPS after 30 years. He will be remembered for his love of motorcycles, custom cars, motorcycle rides and rallies, and most importantly, spending this time with his son, family and friends in these pursuits. Although age and illness have slowed his participation, Fred has never shied away from showing his love and pride for his grandchildren and his son, Fred, who have brought so much joy to his life. Fred will be greatly missed by all. Rosary, 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, both at St. Francis Xavier Church, 611 Logan Ave. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.
